ALEXIS IS ON A SLEEPOVER WITH A POTENTIAL ADOPTER!
Update: Alexis is doing great! She really enjoys the other dogs in her foster home and has a great time playing around or just being involved in whatever they are doing. One of the other dogs in the home is not particularly interested in palying, but Alexis can usually be found cuddled up next to her at sleeptime. Alexis is somewhat timid na her own, but with the other dogs around, she comes out of her shell. She has a wonderful time with her toys, especially kongs and a squeaky, stuffed duck that just might be her favorite! She also enjoys a cuddle now and then from her humans Additionally, there is a cat in her foster home, but Alexis pretty much ignores him. She is a gentle little beagle girl and just waiting for her forever home.
New Arrival: Alexis came to us from a Louisiana shelter where she was deemed unadoptable because she had tested positive for heartworm disease. So to save her, SEBR agreed to take her when contacted by a volunteer from the shelter.
Alexis is a friendly and happy Beagle girl and she was sure glad to be out of the shelter and run around, even if it was just inside the patio. Just like a typical Beagle, she devoured her food and was ready to help everyone else finish theirs if necessary. Alexis will need an active family and lots of attention to keep her happy.
