ADOPTION PENDING
Pearl is a calm, loving little girl with unusual and beautiful markings. She arrived in Florida on November 1st and stayed with our intake coordinator for a few days. She melded well with the pack there and even instigated a romp a couple times with a couple of the young and playful ones, but for the most part her focus seemed to be on people and food. :) She is very curious about her surroundings and has to sniff everything, but she enjoys a good petting as well once her curiosity is satisfied. Pearl moved to her current foster home after a few days and once again adjusted without problem. She eats and sleeps in her crate with no issues. In fact she seems to like her crate and will nap in there with the door open. Pearl is fine with the cat but does seem to want the other dogs to respect her personal space. She loves being in the yard and has sung the song of her people when she hears anything outside of the fence. She uses the doggie doors with ease and so far there are no problems with house training. Pearl's food focus does tempt her towards counter surfing (although no way could she reach) and of course she finds food bins and garbage cans seductive, but she understands "No". We are happy to report that she is heartworm negative and should be ready for a sleepover a little before mid November.
