Bojangles is a lot younger than he looks, it's just that he accumulated a lot of scars from his previous life. We have had more than one veterinarian confirm that his age is about 5 years. He is an absolutely delightful character -- very loving and a super companion!  Bojangles is eager to please, maintains really good eye contact and is very food motivated, all things that make him very trainable. He has learned the "sit" command and also “wait”. He willingly goes into his crate when asked to for dinner and when his foster family is going out. Bojangles loves to be with his people, so when they leave he does whine and bark for a bit, but then quiets down and settles to wait for their return. He digs car rides and walks, and he's good on a leash... unless he sees a rabbit!  His foster home does not have a fenced yard so he is taken out on leash to go potty. His housetraining is getting close to perfect and he continues to improve.  We will share that Bojangles does like to explore the counters, and has occasionally enjoyed the view from the top of the dining room table - but he is learning his limits.  Bojangles did test positive for heartworms but has been treated and is now ready for his sleepover. He is indeed a charming and lovely gentleman!
