With super special gifts to offer to a super special home, Freckles is a super special girl!  Approximately 7 years old, Freckles acts younger, although she does like her spot on the couch!  Freckles is looking for a quiet home with other dogs and a lady as her primary caregiver. She is warm toward her foster mother, and she is O.K. with her foster father, but she does maintain some distance from him.  Cats and parrots are fine with her, too!  Freckles has not been crated and is non-destructive, although she does like to chew paper items when left in the house with the other dogs.  She LOVES soft, squeaky toys and will make piles of them around the house. Freckles enjoys jumping in the car for a ride and is a perfect passenger in her doggie seatbelt.  At night, Freckles sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom, although she will jump up on the bed to let us know it is time to rise and shine! She is a super healthy girl with a great appetite! Although spotty with her housetraining, Freckles does a great job urinating on a cloth potty pad in the house and on walks. Freckles comes alive walking with other dogs, especially when on a long line in a more rural area. She loves short walks on a leash, too.  She sits by the door waiting for her harness, and walks nicely unless she becomes scared, at which time she pulls. It takes time and effort to get close to timid Freckles, but what a gift she has in store for you!  There is not a nasty bone in her body, and eventually, Freckles’ eyes and the gentle lick of her tongue will clearly express how much she loves and trusts you.
