Sam is on a sleepover with a potential adopter
New Arrival: SAM
Sam was owned by an elderly couple from the time he was a puppy but recently found himself in a shelter when both husband and wife had to move into a nursing home and their son took Sam to a shelter. Fortunately for Sam, a Beagle loving family learned about him, rescued him and contacted us. This was a very good thing as it was NOT a no kill shelter! Sam is an affectionate dog who is especially fond of men. He loves toys and tummy rubs and is definitely a cuddler! His foster family is working on his weight as he is a good bit over what he should be. Sam does not have a problem being crated and has done excellently with house training in his foster home. Although he far prefers the people, Sam does fine with the other dogs in the household and has no problem with the parrot either! In fact, Sam is basically a pretty mellow dog who just likes to be near his human. We will have more pictures of Sam soon!
