ANDY II HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER!
UPDATE: If ever you considered finding a place in your home for a senior - this is the guy for you!!! Andy has all the benefits of a senior - he is housetrained, calm and confident...but he has plenty of pep for a long walk or a romp with a toy. He is very dog friendly, super with kids and would be a great fit for just about any home. He is of course crazy about food and we are still hoping to help him drop another pound or two - but he has done fantastic losing 13.5 pounds since he came back to the rescue when his owner died. Andy is a lover and definitely knows how to cuddle. He is fine to go and nap somewhere if you are busy or have to leave him at home alone. Currently in his foster home he is not crated except at dinner time (because there are quite a few other dogs). Andy's house manners are very good and he is trustworthy. This is a wonderful little beagle boy who will be an absolute blessing to any family who adopts him!
UPDATE: Andy II is such a FANTASTIC little guy - he loves his walks as long as he can take his ducky with him and he has done super with his weight loss! When he arrived back with the rescue he weighed 44.5 pounds and he is now down to 32.7!
UPDATE: Andy II had been adopted in November 2013 but his owner has recently passed away. Andy's dad wanted to be sure that he would come back to SouthEast Beagle Rescue and we assured him that we would take good care of him. So Andy is now in a foster home and doing well. He is the same happy beagle boy but very overweight so we will be helping him to shed some of the extra pounds. He is as active as his weight will let him be and can certainly get frisky when he is happy! We will keep you posted on his weight loss progress.
Andy II is a super outgoing little fellow that just seems to absolutely enjoy life! He has vitality and personality plus lots of love to give. He has the cutest little face that is always smiling.
Andy II gets along well with other dogs and enjoys a friendly romp but he's a little guy and meeting dogs larger than him can intimidate him in the beginning. He is a gentle little boy and enjoys children who are gentle with he does fine with older people as well. Andy appreciates petting and affection but isn't too sure about being cuddled. He's a great easy-going dog--social but also independent. His foster mom was crating him when she went to work, but he has now earned her trust and is left free to roam in the house until she returns. Andy would be a great addition to just about any family!
