COMING SOON!   Lila, pictured here in her patriotic harness, was born on July 4th, 2024. She was taken in by a very kind man in Alabama who has a big heart but struggles with Parkinson's. We have very much enjoyed our contact with him and would like to just share the information he has sent to us about Lila.... Her momma was a beagle but daddy was a small, long-haired chocolate lab mix. Lila’s conformation and coloration is all beagle, except for largish feet.  She has the cutest whorl of hair right in the middle of her forehead. Lila knows some basic commands but is not yet consistent in obeying them... sit and stay about 50 % of the time; come - if I feel like it but she will, at the least, glance in your direction In response to the command.  However, if you have a treat in your hand and she knows it, she will almost bowl you over before your mouth can form the word.  She has been introduced to a leash but is not yet comfortable with it. I do take her next door to a very large, fenced vacant lot to let her run free and play fetch with her.  She gets absolutely ecstatic over that. She loves fetch and tug-O-war.  I will send her favorite toys. I know you all, y’all, are going to give her the very best care... but it will be lonely around here when she is gone.

Lila will need to be spayed once she arrives but will be ready soon for sleepover!
