ADOPTION PENDING
“He’ll grow into those ears” they say. Sherman has the biggest, softest ears in all of Beagledom. With nine months of puppyhood already under his belt though, he just may not grow into those ears.
Sherman loves milling about in the backyard chasing lizards and following the various scents. He's not much of a barker, but Sherman will likely alert you if a cat walks by. Sherman is super-friendly with everyone, loves his food, treats, walks, belly rubs, and his toys. When he’s done playing, he loves to cuddle. Sherman has been sleeping in the bed at night with the resident beagle and his foster mom. She reports that he is a great sleeper. He does ok on a leash but could use a little more leash training, as that beagle nose takes him all over the place.
He’s got a doggie door at his foster home but might need a primer course in asking to go outside or for a walk, if he found himself somewhere without a doggie door. He does sometimes have accidents in his crate when he’s left alone. Sherman can be a bit of a rascal at times and we are working on teaching him which toys he is allowed to play with, and what he’s not allowed to play with.
Sherman gets along great with other dogs, is neutered, heartworm negative, and ready for a sleepover!
