ADOPTION PENDING

UPDATE:1/26/23-The foster parent said that Bones was initially shy with him but warmed up to him after a while. The foster home has several other dogs and Bones became part of the pack quickly. He would probably do best in a home with another dog(s) and a fenced yard. Bones is doing well with house training. He is affectionate and friendly once he gets to know new people.

Bones is a Mississippi boy who may not have had much experience with love and gentleness. He is pretty skittish for now, but he's only just arrived and there are such good things in store for him once he settles in to his foster home! Bones has definitely not had any experience on a leash so we will help him to know it's just a connection to a human who cares about him now. He was confiscated by animal welfare authorities from an owner who kept him and several other dogs in outside raised boxes in cruel conditions. Bones did test positive for heartworms but will be ready for treatment in early February. Stay tuned for updates on his progress!
