Meet Fred! He's one sweet little dude! Fred's family passed away and the children could not take either him or two other large dogs in the household. They turned them over to the County which runs a very small but hardworking and compassionate shelter. The County managed to board all three of them at a local veterinarian's, hoping they could find adopters or rescue. When they contacted us, we said, sure - we could see some beagle in Fred ...and we jumped at the opportunity to help him find a good home for the rest of his life! Now Fred has arrived on the Alabama Rescue Relay and he is so happy and friendly!! He is pretty energetic but he was great during his bath and having his ears cleaned. He appeared to be pretty comfortable going in the crate to be fed and also walked well on leash. Tomorrow Fred will be settling in to his foster home and waiting for some lucky family to choose him for a sleepover! Lucky family for sure!!
