SAPHRON HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING AND WILL BE GOING ON A SLEEPOVER!
UPDATE:  SAPHRON is ADORABLE! She has a charming personality and everyone is a potential friend, dog or human. She is quite vivacious when playing with other dogs, although she still has a bit of a limp from her hip surgery. In her past life she evidently did not have the benefit of of a loving owner to take care of her dislocated hip, but she is so ready to be a part of a family and share all her love now! SAPHRON's leg muscles will continue to grow strong with some simple home therapy excercises but she has no problem getting about and is doing great in her foster home. She would be great with children as well. SAPHRON is a special treasure and any family who adopts her will be fortunate indeed!

Update: SAPHRON has surgery to repair her dislocated hip and is recovering well.  She is already putting weight on her leg and is expected to make a full recovery.

Saphron is a lovely little beagle mix and just the right size for your lap! She came to us from Alabama and is already being spayed at our vet's office. She is heartworm negative - yea!!! Saphron will be going to a foster home with several other dogs and great foster parents who will be able to provide us with more details so that we can place this sweet little girl in just the right home. For now we can tell you that she seemed quite friendly, outgoing and affectionate. She did engage in play with some of the other young females that were hanging out with us and then eventually found a spot for a little nap on a lounge chair in the shade.
